Common Procedures Performed in Dermatology Clinics in Bangkok

The skin is the largest organ in the body. A dermatologist is a doctor trained to treat disorders affecting the skin, ranging from acne to skin cancers.
The following are some of the most used techniques by dermatologists in Bangkok clinics.

Shave Biopsy
Also known as tangential excision, this procedure slices growths on the surface of the skin using a blade. It is useful for removing and diagnosing small growths on the outer layer of the skin.

Punch Biopsy

Cryotherapy

ED&C is used for treating mild cancers, benign tumours and pre-cancers. After administering local anaesthesia, the doctor scraps of the abnormal tissue using a special tool and cauterizes the wound to prevent bleeding.
